Gary Messing & Jason Jasmine Train California Labor and Employment Lawyers

Posted On: May 3, 2016

On April 22, 2016, the Labor and Employment Section of the State Bar of California held its 33rd Annual Labor & Employment Law Meeting and Seminars in Berkeley. Gary Messing was selected to present a seminar on “The Nuts and Bolts of Bargaining in the Public Sector” to a class of experienced management and labor practitioners. Nearly every attending attorney had served as a chief negotiator for either a union or a public entity one or more times. The session was presented with Richard Noack, a management lawyer with Hopkins and Carley, and the panel was moderated by Adam J. Fiss, an attorney with the Littler Mendelson law firm.

At the same Public Sector Conference, Jason Jasmine, also of the Sacramento Office of Messing Adam & Jasmine, was a panelist regarding “Successfully Navigating Discipline in Public Employment.” That panel also addressed both management and labor attorneys practicing public sector labor and employment law. The panel included Najeeb Khoury, Deputy General Counsel for SEIU Local 721, and Vicki Neutzel, Associate General Counsel for BART. That panel was moderated by Monica Guizar, of the law firm of Weinberg Roger & Rosenfeld.
