Kimberly’s practice focuses primarily on public sector law, representing peace officers, firefighters and other public employees in labor and employment issues, including internal and other administrative investigations, disciplinary and termination proceedings, grievances, arbitrations, whistleblower and retaliation claims, civil litigation including False Claims Act cases, and actions before the California State Personnel Board and the California Public Employment Relations Board.
Kimberly also has significant litigation as well as appellate experience as a former Deputy District Attorney. Prior to law, Kimberly worked in public education as a Social Science Teacher and Director of Student Activities. She has also instructed law enforcement on various topics including search and seizure, trial practices and probable cause.
