Messing Adam Jasmine & Shore LLP is pleased to begin 2026 by welcoming Brett Sherman as a partner in the firm’s Sacramento office, continuing a period of strong growth and positive momentum for MAJS. Brett brings to the firm extensive experience representing public safety employees across a wide range of complex legal matters.
Brett has an excellent track record advocating for individuals in internal affairs investigations, pre-disciplinary Skelly hearings, grievances, post-disciplinary appeals before administrative bodies, and criminal proceedings. In addition to his work on behalf of individual employees, Brett has represented unions in the meet-and-confer process, addressing working conditions and negotiating terms of employment. He has also represented licensed healthcare professionals in investigations, accusations, and disciplinary proceedings initiated by California licensing boards and certifying agencies.
We believe Brett is an outstanding addition to the MAJS team. MAJS Partner Jim Shore commented:
We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Brett to MAJS. Our firm is growing in all the right ways—more depth, more momentum, more collective energy—and Brett embodies that perfectly. His experience, judgment, and commitment to clients strengthen our bench immediately, and we’re excited about what we’ll build together.
Brett’s decision to join MAJS reflects both his long-standing professional relationships with firm attorneys and the firm’s continued commitment to collaborative, high-caliber advocacy.
I have had the privilege of working with several MAJS attorneys over the years on a variety of matters, and it is an honor to now be part of the firm. I look forward to representing MAJS clients and contributing to the firm’s longstanding tradition of exceptional advocacy.
