The ABA (American Bar Association) honored MAJ Of Counsel Alison Berry Wilkinson with a seat at the table for its webinar Social Media: The Perils of Considering Online Conduct on October 24, 2023. Tapping into her expertise, Alison participated in a frank discussion with two employer-side experts on when and how social media can be considered when making employment decisions. Alison provided important depth to the discussion, including identifying the first amendment rights that apply to employee postings, as well as the challenges of employer policies attempting to regulate off-duty speech. The webinar was well-received, and even resulted in several requests by the media across the nation for interviews with Alison on this high-profile topic.
