We are excited to announce that John Grey has joined MAJS as a partner, along with Amy Balch, who joins the firm as a full-time paralegal. Together, they will lead and further develop the firm’s Industrial Disability Retirement (IDR) practice.
John is widely recognized as one of California’s preeminent practitioners in Industrial Disability Retirement law. His has worked extensively with the ’37 Act systems, CalPERS, and major municipal retirement systems including San Francisco Employees' Retirement System. He brings decades of insight, judgment, and credibility in a highly specialized and critically important area of practice.
John will lead MAJS’s growing IDR practice. His leadership will further enhance the already high level of service we provide to our clients, particularly public safety professionals and unions navigating complex retirement and disability issues.
Amy Balch joins MAJS alongside John as a highly skilled and experienced paralegal who has worked closely with him for years. She brings years of subject-matter expertise in IDR cases and an exceptional ability to support clients through what are often challenging and high-stakes matters.
The addition of John and Amy aligns with our long-term objectives to strengthen our capabilities in critical areas and serve our clients at a higher level, while continuing to build a firm that is defined by excellence in representation.
