Sue S. Matuska

Sue Matuska joined MAJS in March of 2026 and brings extensive experience in Labor Law, Estate Planning, Government Relations, Election and Campaign Finance Law, and Appellate Practice. She is dedicated to providing strategic legal counsel tailored to the
unique needs of her clients.
Her Labor Law practice spans both state and federal matters, and she is experienced in appeals before the Nevada Supreme Court. Sue has represented teachers, firefighters and other law enforcement in the administrative process including the Nevada EmployeeManagement Relations Board and in the state and federal courts. Representation of the employee organizations of teachers and firefighters has also included counsel on their corporate practices, internal elections and charitable giving and activities. In Estate Planning, Sue designs customized Wills and Trusts to align with clients’ wealth transfer goals and represents individuals in Probate proceedings in Nevada and Trust
Administration.
In the political and legislative fields, Sue advises nonprofit organizations and political action committees on compliance with Nevada state and federal regulations governing political advocacy. She has provided comprehensive guidance on the initiative process, from initial analysis and drafting through litigation and signature gathering, ensuring successful ballot placement. In the Government Relations arena, Sue assists clients by drafting legislation, preparing legal opinions, and testifying before legislative committees.
